In line with our vision of becoming one of the world’s leading nations in polar sciences through our original scientific research, national scientific expeditions to the polar regions (the Arctic and Antarctica) are organized annually under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and in coordination with the TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Polar Research (KARE), national scientific expeditions to the polar regions (the Arctic and Antarctica) are organized annually. The aim of these expeditions is to enable our scientists in the field of polar sciences to conduct original, sustainable, and high-quality scientific research; to foster collaboration with scientists from other countries; and to position our country among the respected nations that play a leading role in the polar regions.

In line with these objectives, the 2025 KUTUP-1001 and KUTUP Foreign Research Station Participation project calls, which will support scientific research related to the “Poles,”were launched on August 12, 2024, in accordance with the conditions set by TÜBİTAK-MAM KARE and ARDEB. Under these calls, the “Scientific Research Budget” is 900,000 TL, and the Project Incentive Bonus (PTİ) payable under the project is 100,000 TL.
