With the aim of promoting research on aquatic life and marine sciences in the Polar Regions and increasing our country’s scientific contributions in these fields, the Turkish Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, published by TAGEM (General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies) Journals has planned a special issue of the *Turkish Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences* under the theme “Advanced Research on Aquatic and Marine Ecosystems of Polar Regions.”.

We have conducted research in the Polar Regions and are pleased to invite all relevant researchers worldwide to contribute to this special issue.
