To encourage high school students to conduct research in the field of polar sciences, our institution organized the 2204-C High School Students’ Polar Research Projects Competition for the first time this year; project applications were accepted from December 15, 2021 – May 11, 2022.
This year, 611 project submissions were received for the competition, which is organized in four main categories: Humanities, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth Sciences. The project submissions were evaluated by a jury formed for each main category, and 60 projects were selected to advance to the Final Round.
