Organized under the leadership of the Bursa Yıldırım District Directorate of National Education, the TÜBİTAK 4007 DISASTER-AFFECTED REGION “SCIENCE IS EVERYWHERE” Special Support Call, experts from our Polar Research Institute brought the polar regions to Hatay for the third time.

Deeply saddened by the disaster that occurred during the 7th National Antarctic Science Expedition, the scientific team rushed to the disaster zone to help the children affected by the earthquake as soon as the expedition ended. Polar experts participating in the project—supported by TÜBİTAK—and students from the Polar Research Club at Gebze Technical University conducted workshops to broaden the children’s perspective on science, share in their grief, and help them grow through the lens of science.

The project work carried out in Hatay during the first week of May was successfully completed thanks to the dedication of every participant.
