This cooperation protocol covers a range of areas—including scientific research, the mutual exchange of information, the implementation of scientist exchange programs, and joint projects—and will promote joint efforts in the legal status of the seas, climate change research, and scientific research related to the polar regions. Representatives of the two institutions stated that this cooperation is intended to provide significant contributions to our country at the international level and to ensure that scientific and academic work continues with renewed momentum. This protocol is regarded as a major step toward developing a more comprehensive understanding of marine sciences and climate change, both in Turkey and on a global scale.
