In line with our vision of becoming one of the leading countries in polar science through our original scientific research, national scientific expeditions to the polar regions (the Arctic and Antarctica) are organized annually under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and in coordination with the TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Polar Research (KARE), national scientific expeditions are organized annually to the polar regions (the Arctic and Antarctica). The aim of these expeditions is to enable our scientists in the field of polar sciences to conduct original, sustainable, and high-quality scientific research; to foster collaboration with scientists from other countries; and to position our country among the respected nations that play a leading role in the polar regions.
In line with these objectives; To identify polar projects that can be carried out with or without participation in the National Science Expeditions to the Polar Regions planned by our country (TAE: National Antarctic Science Expedition, TASE: National Arctic Science Expedition), the KUTUP 1001-2024 Call for Proposals has been launched to identify polar projects that can be carried out in accordance with these objectives, and the Polar Foreign Research Station Participation Call has been launched to identify polar projects that can be carried out by participating in a foreign research station.
