Prof. Dr. Konrad Steffen, one of the world’s leading figures in polar science, lost his life in an accident during his fieldwork in Greenland. The Swiss scientist was known for his research on the effects of climate change on ice sheets in the Arctic and Antarctic regions. New Regulation on Antarctic Research Published
A major step has been taken as part of the Antarctic scientific research program, which is conducted under the auspices of the Presidency and coordinated by TÜBİTAK MAM KARE.
