In line with our vision to be among the leading countries in the world with its original scientific studies on polar sciences, the “National Polar Science Program (2018-2022)” (pdf) was prepared and put into effect by the Ministry of Industry and Technology on 27.12.2017. The main objectives of this program are to organize national expeditions to the polar regions under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey under the coordination of TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute (KARE), to implement the National Polar Science Program, to establish bilateral collaborations on polar sciences, to send our scientists to the science bases of other countries and to establish a Turkish science base in Antarctica.
In line with these objectives, in order to ensure that R&D and scientific research activities related to the Priority Research Themes determined in the National Polar Science Program are carried out, the CUP 1001-2021 Year Call, the conditions of which were determined by TÜBİTAK MAM KARE and ARDEB, was opened on 17 May 2021. The deadline for completing the online application and e-signature process is July 2, 2021 at 23:59. For detailed information about the call click here.
