The Memorandum of Understanding, prepared between the TÜBİTAK MAM Institute of Polar Research (KARE) and the Ecuadorian Navy’s Institute of Oceanography and Antarctica (INOCAR) to enhance scientific cooperation in Antarctic research, was signed on May 27, 2022, during the 44th International Consultative Meeting of the Antarctic Treaty System, held in Berlin, Germany. At the conclusion of the ceremony, which aimed to advance Antarctic research in both the scientific and logistical spheres, the parties reaffirmed their mutual bonds of friendship.
